Caretta - Caretta
Mounda beach, or otherwise Kaminia beach, is universally considered one of the official breeding grounds of the sea turtle Caretta - Caretta.
During the month of June, our guests, respecting nature, are able to watch mother turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs on the beach and return to the sea. Eggs are buried deep in the sand, incubated for about 60 days and in August, baby turtles (neonates), dig the sand by themselves, until they reach the earth's surface and walk towards the sea, by instinct, where they begin their long journey of life.
This is a unique and revealing experience, which can be enjoyed almost every day, during the early hours.
